Sixth Legislative District Reps. Jeff Holy, R-Cheney, and Mike Volz, R-Spokane, issued the following statement regarding today’s tragic shooting at Freeman High School.

“We are heartbroken by the tragedy that unfolded at Freeman High School today. As parents, we can only imagine the uncertainty and fear that students, teachers and families experienced.

“We are grateful for the actions of those who protected others and assisted the injured. Their courage in the face of danger represents the best of humanity.   

“Our prayers go out to the Freeman High School family and everyone else affected. Our community will endure this tragedy. Moments like this remind us just how close and strong we, as a community, truly are.”
