Sen. Jeff Holy took his oath of office to begin his first term as senator for the 6th Legislative District on Monday during the opening ceremonies of the 2019 legislative session.
Holy will serve on the Senate Higher Education and Workforce Development Committee, Early Learning and K-12 Education Committee, and Law and Justice Committee.
“It is a great honor to serve the citizens of the 6th legislative District,” Holy said. “I look forward to working hard for students on the education committees, serving on the Law and Justice Committee to keep our communities safe and staying informed on issues that impact Spokane.”
Holy previously served three terms in the Washington State House of Representatives. He earned his bachelor’s degree at Washington State University and earned his Juris Doctorate from Gonzaga University School of Law. Holy also served with the Spokane Police Department as an officer and detective for 22 years.
