Residents of the 6th District are invited to two different town hall events with their state Reps. Kevin Parker and Jeff Holy.
On Thursday, March 19, the two will host a live telephone town hall at 6-7 p.m. while they are working in Olympia. To join the call, people should dial (509) 822-6314. Constituents will have the chance to ask questions of the legislators by pressing star (*) on their telephone keypads, and will also be able to answer poll questions over the phone.
Then on Saturday, March 21, an in-person town hall will be held at the Museum of Arts and Culture (2316 W 1st Ave, Spokane) at 2 p.m.
“We’ve had great success with both these types of events in the past,” said Parker, R-Spokane. “There’s a lot going on in the Legislature so this gives us an opportunity to relay important information to our constituents and then hear their thoughts and concerns on the issues important to them.”
“Olympia can become a bit of an echo chamber, so I make a point to touch base with the folks back home to get a dose of reality and hear what they’re concerned about,” said Holy, R-Cheney. “I’m looking forward to both conversations.”
No RSVP is required to participate in either event. For those not able to participate, Parker can be contacted at (360) 786-7922 or by email at kevin.parker@leg.wa.gov. Holy can be reached at (360) 786-7962 or by email at jeff.holy@leg.wa.gov.
