Dear Friends and Neighbors,

We are now halfway through the 60-day session. Yesterday was a “cutoff” deadline for House bills to pass House committees – any bills that didn’t make it out of committees are considered “dead” for the year. You can view a list of bills that are dead and alive here. While I may not agree with the categorization of each as “good” or “bad,” this gives you a good idea of where the more high-profile legislation is at in the process.

Our schedules now shift from all-day public hearings to all-day voting on the House floor. We’ll be considering dozens of bills at a time, so now is the time to let me know how you feel about specific bills that could come up for a vote.

My legislation to provide for lifetime registration for intermittent-use trailers could come up for a vote anytime on the House floor, so stay tuned.

On Saturday, Feb. 22, I’ll be back in Spokane with my seatmates Sen. Michael Baumgartner and Rep. Kevin Parker for an in-person town hall.
