Sen. Michael Baumgartner and Rep. Jeff Holy will host a telephone town hall for residents of the 6th Legislative District on Tuesday, April 9. The call will begin at 7:00 p.m. and last one hour. People who want to join the conversation can call toll-free 877-229-8493, then enter pin number 17921.
“The telephone town hall technology is a great way for us to connect with the folks back home,” said Baumgartner, R-Spokane. “I hope that everyone will join us for some great conversation about the budget, education, and getting people back to work.”
Callers will have the opportunity to answer live poll questions over the phone and to ask questions of their lawmakers by pressing * (star) then 3 on their phones, or they can just listen in to the conversation. No RSVP is required to join the meeting.
“I’m excited to use this technology to reach out to more of the people I serve,” said Holy, R-Cheney. “Sometimes it’s difficult for busy people or those with limited mobility to make it to our in-person town hall meetings. This is designed so people can talk directly with us from their living rooms. I look forward to the conversation.”
